Role Overview

The Seasonal Human Resources Assistant provides district-wide administrative support for the human resources department. This position is with INDOT's Crawfordsville District. Pay rate: $15.00/hr.

A Day in the Life:

• Assist in record retention project retrieving, preparation, organization of personnel files for archiving.
• Assist in information verification & data entry.
• Assist in building & maintaining personnel files.

What You'll Need for Success:

This person must have the following requirements to be considered for employment:

• One (1) year of work experience in office setting preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to research and document findings.
• Excellent data entry skills and proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to successfully negotiate resolutions to complex problems or situations.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to organize thoughts and ideas in a logical manner.
• Ability to create and use an Excel spreadsheet

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports: This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.

Benefits of Employment with the State of Indiana: This seasonal position does not offer benefits and is limited to 180 working days in an eleven (11) month continuous period.
