The Universal Banker is the financial liaison to every customer entering the branch. Your highest priority will be to ensure customers are extremely satisfied with every interaction. You will develop deep and meaningful relationships with the customer to resolve issues, educate customers on the various ways they can bank with us, and process teller transactions as required.Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesEngage with customers to develop a positive customer experience; strive to make each customer interaction the best experience of their dayDevelop new and existing customers by understanding their financial needs, providing products and solutions to help them spend and saveGo above and beyond for customers to strengthen and retain long term relationshipsGrow new business and drive referrals to branch colleagues and partners to support the broader financial needs of customersServe as the financial liaison to customers while providing world class customer serviceOpen new accounts and assist with teller transactions as neededBring a positive energy and confidence to Metropolitan Commercial Bank and its customers every dayPresent a professional appearance as the face of Metropolitan Commercial BankDriven by a passion and curiosity to continuously learn how various technological systems, including AI, can enhance the work that you do.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesHigh School degree or GED requiredMinimum of 2+ year cash handling experience strongly preferredTwo (2) years of sales and customer service experienceStrong listening and customer service skillsAbility to effectively ask questions and identify needs to enhance the customer relationshipCommitment to building relationships through phone engagementsAbility to problem solve and provide solutions to customer issuesAbility to strengthen relationships with teammates, business partners and specialists through collaborationSelf-motivated, confident and ability to multitask effectivelyPotential Salary: $45k - $65k annuallyThis salary range reflects base wages and does not include benefits, bonus, or incentive pay. Salary bands are purposefully wide ranging to encompass the different factors considered in determining where a candidate falls in the range, including but not limited to, seniority, performance, experience, education, and any other legitimate, non-discriminatory factor permitted by law.
