Product Demonstrator Part Time

Job Summary The Associate is responsible for completing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations. The Associate acquires and maintains knowledge of the products represented, prepares, serves, and breaks down product, equipment, and supplies, and intercepts consumers to demonstrate products in a professional manner. The Associate maintains an overall professional appearance consistent with job requirements. Responsibilities Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to consumers in a positive manner. Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product. Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives. Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals. Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the job requirements. Properly set up and prepare the event table for execution. Achieve 100% execution on assigned work. Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections. Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives. Complete expense reports as per Company Policy. Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution. Access the internet, navigate company’s electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents, including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms. Qualifications High school diploma or GED; or one to three months’ related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient ability to use and navigate personal computer or mobile device using applications and internal systems. Local Food Handlers permit may be required. English primary language skill; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity. Physical Demands The associate will regularly be required to: stand and walk during the shift; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms (including overhead up to 65 inches); talk and hear; read instructions; stoop, kneel, squat, climb or step up a ladder; balance; lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds); push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden; prepare foods and beverages using required appliances such as cooking utensils, knives, convection oven, coffee maker, electric fryer, microwaves; and be in contact with cleaning supplies. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Work Environment Retail store environment with limited travel. Physical Appearance Individuals must ensure a professional appearance and proper grooming is in order. The associate must present a neat, clean, and appropriately groomed appearance. Specific retailer dress code requirements are included in the training documents.
