As an Occupational Therapist (OTA) at Indigo Manor Nursing and Rehab, you will play a vital role in helping our patients regain independence, confidence, and overall well-being. Our team-oriented approach ensures that every patient receives the highest level of care and attention to meet their unique needs.
About the Role:
- Provide occupational therapy services to patients in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet patients' specific goals and needs
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
- Conduct assessments, evaluations, and therapy sessions
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient care
Responsibilities:
Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to achieve patient-centered goals
Provide therapy sessions, including but not limited to:
- Range of motion and strengthening exercises
- Balance and coordination training
- Cognitive stimulation and memory exercises
- Adaptive equipment training and education
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress
Participate in and lead department meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (MOT) or related field
- Current Occupational Therapy licensure in the state of Florida
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in long-term care or rehabilitation setting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
