Position Overview

The Barista is responsible for preparing high-quality beverages, smoothies, and food items while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced health and wellness environment. This position reports to the Store Manager or Shift Lead and supports the daily operations of the store by maintaining product quality, cleanliness, and efficient service. The Barista works closely with fellow team members to create a welcoming experience for every guest while upholding Earthbar's standards for food safety, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. The primary goal of this role is to provide outstanding service while helping customers make healthy lifestyle choices through knowledgeable product recommendations and a positive, team-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve smoothies, juices, coffee beverages, bowls, and other menu items according to Earthbar recipes and quality standards.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and providing knowledgeable product recommendations based on customer needs.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process customer transactions, returns, and payments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work environment, including food preparation areas, equipment, and customer seating areas.
• Restock ingredients, supplies, and retail merchandise to ensure products are readily available throughout each shift.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations while adhering to company policies and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with team members and store leadership to ensure efficient daily operations and a positive customer experience.
• Contribute to a welcoming, energetic, and team-oriented work environment while supporting store goals and promoting Earthbar's commitment to health and wellness.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a café, coffee shop, smoothie bar, restaurant, or customer service environment is preferred but not required.
• Passion for health, wellness, nutrition, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and teammates.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
• Basic math skills and the ability to accurately operate a point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash transactions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks such as bending, reaching, and food preparation.
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to follow food safety, sanitation, and company policies and procedures.

Pay Range

USD $17.00 - USD $17.00 /Hr.
