Position: Teller Location: Pittsfield, MA Job Id: 151 # of Openings: 1 Teller Job Summary The Teller serves as the Bank’s main point of customer contact, performing a wide variety of customer service and operational tasks, including transactions for deposit accounts, loans and other services. The role focuses on building strong customer relationships through engagement and recommendation of products and services that support everyday financial needs. This position requires maintaining a working knowledge of established banking policies and procedures. Job Functions Maintain working knowledge of all Bank products, including their benefits, requirements and related policies, procedures and regulations Perform an extensive variety of customer transactions in accordance with Bank policies, procedures and regulations Independently resolve routine customer inquiries while maintaining a high standard of customer service, andescalate issues to the appropriate team member or department when necessary Adhere to branch security practices and guidelines (secures workstation, keys, combinations, customer information, etc.) and regulatory compliance Accurately processes large amounts of cash in an organized, timely, and accurate manner. Balances own cash drawer daily within the prescribed balancing guidelines Recognize customer needs and refer appropriate bank products to support growth in our customer base Demonstrate strong customer service skills to promote a positive representation of the Bank in both in-person and telephone interactions Support fraud prevention by adhering to security procedures and educating customers as needed Support daily branch operations by ensuring accurate balancing and timely submission of work to the proper departments Provide back up and support to Head Teller tasks as needed Perform other duties as needed or assigned Job Requirements Possess a High School diploma or its equivalent. Perform as a team player, displaying a positive and professional attitude toward customers and co-workers. General math skills: adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. Excellent communication skills to be concise, clear, and tactful. Prior banking experience preferred Prior customer service experience preferred Basic computer skills Schedule flexibility and able to travel to any Pittsfield Cooperative Bank location as needed.
