Industrial electromechanical service and manufacturing organization specializing in the repair, rebuild, and integration of heavy industrial motors, rotating equipment, and electromechanical systems

We are seeking an experienced Lead Engineer who is equally comfortable working hands on at the workbench and leading a small technical team. This is a player coach role where you will contribute directly to engineering work while guiding a team of one to three engineers, setting technical direction, and ensuring high quality project delivery.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, mentoring others, and owning projects from concept through completion.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and mentor a small engineering team and build a collaborative high performance environment
• Manage projects from concept through completion including field measurements design work and final delivery in partnership with production and field service teams
• Act as the technical bridge between departments ensuring clear communication and alignment
• Diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical systems including motors pumps gearboxes generators and related industrial equipment
• Create review and improve engineering drawings schematics and technical documentation
• Identify opportunities to improve processes quality and team capability

Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or related field required
• Five or more years of engineering experience required
• Experience in industrial or heavy equipment environments strongly preferred

Technical Skills
• Hands on experience with electrical and mechanical industrial systems
• Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD Siemens NX SolidWorks or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Experience in industrial maintenance environments

Leadership Experience
• 3 to 5 years of leadership experience required leading technical teams or engineering projects
• Proven experience leading multi disciplinary technical projects
• Strong communicator across departments and with customers
• Self motivated with a focus on continuous improvement

Role Details
• Schedule is typically 7am to 3pm
• Little to no travel required
• Reports directly to the president
• Relocation assistance available for the right candidate
• Approximately 50 percent hands on engineering work and 50 percent leadership responsibilities
• Leadership scope includes leading and developing one to three engineers
