We have an exciting opportunity at our Mesa, Arizona facility for a Controls Engineering Manager!The RoleThe Controls Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the Controls Engineering team in support of a 24/7 manufacturing operation. This position provides technical leadership, strategic direction, and hands-on engineering support for plant automation systems, capital projects, maintenance operations, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will oversee automation standards, control system architecture, PLC and SCADA programming, historian systems, industrial networking, instrumentation, and server infrastructure while ensuring system reliability, cybersecurity, and operational excellence.This role requires a highly experienced automation professional with strong leadership skills and extensive knowledge of industrial control systems, hazardous locations, process automation, and manufacturing operations. We are guided and united by our Group Purpose of “giving our world more smiles.” Visit: Job Description Key responsibilities for this role include:Under the direction of the Facilities Engineering Manager, the Controls Engineering Manager will:Lead the development of and implement tools and methods to improve controls system reliability and reduce unscheduled equipment/ process downtime:Process network systems and infrastructurePLC programming tools and methodsInstrumentation and controls systems design and installationHuman-Machine Interface (HMI) design and installationSCADA system design, installation, and operationLead, mentor, and develop an onsite Controls Engineering team supporting a continuous 24/7 manufacturing operation.Administer the plant-wide PI Historian system.Provide troubleshooting support for ongoing operations, including support for callouts and remote troubleshootingDevelop data-driven methods and measures to improve process and equipment reliabilityEnsure process controls infrastructure meets site and regulatory requirementsEnsure changes to process controls follow Fujifilm site Management of Change proceduresInterface with instrumentation and equipment vendors to ensure effective equipment utilization, ensure use of best-known methods for industrial automation, and effectively document required information in Mesa CMMP systemsLead controls engineering activities for plant and facilities capital projects.Manage automation capital project budgets.REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering or Automation Engineering required. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.Minimum of 10 years of industrial controls engineering experience in a 24/7 manufacturing environment required.
