Exciting opportunities are available for passionate School Psychologists seeking contract positions in the Denver area to provide essential leave coverage within local schools. Several coverage options are available, including middle and elementary schools, with full and part-time assignments running through December or the end of the school year. Scheduling and specific caseloads will vary depending on the assignment selected, allowing you to match your availability and expertise with the needs of local students.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s, Specialist’s, or Doctorate in School Psychology
- Active Colorado Department of Education Special Service Provider License in School Psychology
- Previous experience in a school-based setting required
- Comprehensive knowledge of student assessment, behavioral intervention, crisis management, and IEP processes
- Exceptional communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, families, and staff
- Proficiency with technology for documentation and reporting
- Commitment to providing culturally responsive services
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct counseling, group sessions, and classroom support aligned to IEP mental health goals
- Administer assessments and develop evaluation reports, Functional Behavioral Assessments, and Behavioral Intervention Plans
- Conduct suicide risk and threat assessments, and support safety planning and crisis response
- Collaborate closely with families, teachers, external providers, and multidisciplinary teams to address social, emotional, and academic needs
- Attend staffing, planning, and behavioral health meetings; contribute professional insight and consultation for general and special education populations
- Provide community resource coordination and psychoeducation for the broader school community
