A leading Mortgage REIT is seeking a Counterparty & Credit Risk Director to lead and mature their second line of defense!
Location & Compensation
- Location: Richmond, VA (Primary).
- Work Model: Hybrid (Tue/Wed/Thu in-office required).
- Base Salary: $175,000 – $225,000.

️ What You’ll Do
- Manage a high-leverage counterparty credit risk program for a $3B+ market cap balance sheet.
- Lead credit assessments for major Wall Street banks and broker-dealers.
- Represent the firm in high-level lender relationship meetings in NYC.
- Coordinate with Legal on onboarding documentation and master agreements.
✅ Requirements
- 10–15 years in financial services, specifically within counterparty credit risk or risk management.
- "Cycle Experience" is highly valued (must have lived through market events like 2008, 2013, or 2023).
- Deep knowledge of fixed income, MBS, and repo/leveraged financing.
- Low-ego and collaborative, with the confidence to present to senior executives.
