Hematology/Oncology Physician Opportunity
Position Overview

An established cancer program is seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology physician to provide full-time outpatient coverage due to physician retirements and relocations. The provider will join a collaborative oncology team focused on delivering high-quality cancer care in a community-based setting.

Compensation:

Overtime: $410/hr
Night Call: $390/hr
Weekend Call: $2,730
Call Back: $410/hr

Schedule
Full-time coverage required
4 5 days per week
Clinic hours: 8:30 AM 4:30 PM
Administrative day or half-day available as needed
Ongoing assignment
Practice Setting
Outpatient Cancer Center
EMR: Epic
Team-based practice environment
Call Coverage
Shared call rotation
Approximately 1 week of call, including one weekend, every 4 weeks
Limited inpatient responsibilities, primarily related to patients admitted for inpatient chemotherapy
Clinical Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat hematology and oncology patients
Develop and manage treatment plans
Oversee chemotherapy and cancer treatment protocols
Collaborate with multidisciplinary cancer care teams
Participate in outpatient clinic and call coverage
Provide care consistent with the training and licensure of a Hematologist/Oncologist
Patient Population
Approximately 80% Oncology
Approximately 20% Hematology
Focus on timely evaluation and treatment of newly diagnosed solid tumor patients
Average patient volume: patients per day
Team Structure
3 Physicians
2 Advanced Practice Providers
Radiation Oncology support available onsite
Qualifications
Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology
Active Oregon medical license preferred
DEA required
Eligible for medical staff membership and clinical privileges
Clean professional background strongly preferred
Additional Information
Credentialing timeframe approximately 6 8 weeks
Epic training required prior to start
Lodging assistance available for qualifying providers
