Radiology - CT Tech

CT Technologist Job Opportunity

This position offers a shift from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for two days between Monday and Thursday, Fridays from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and includes being on call every fifth weekend.

Job Description

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing CT imaging according to established protocols to obtain diagnostic information as ordered by the physician. Candidates must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology. Additionally, a solid knowledge of radiation protection and safety practices is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging procedures in compliance with established protocols.
• Administer contrast media in accordance with hospital policy.
• Utilize critical thinking and professional judgment to ensure quality care.
• Maintain knowledge of human anatomy and relevant medical terminology.
• Follow safety guidelines related to radiation protection.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
• Completion of an AMA approved radiology program Required.
• Relevant experience in a similar role preferred.
• Basic Life Support Certification Required.
• Registration as a Radiologic Technologist (R) (CT) required or Registration as a Radiologic Technologist (R) is acceptable.
