CNC Milling Machinist 2 - 3rd Shift

About the Company Krones Inc. designs, develops, manufactures, and installs machines and complete packaging lines. Krones is an equal opportunity employer. Responsibilities Retrieve CNC programs and load them to the machine. Setup, load, and operate CNC machines to produce parts per prints. Edit G‑code and manually program using Mazatrol Control. Setup fixturing and create your own setups on the machine. Perform first piece and in‑process quality inspections. Setup cutters in holders and adjust height and length. Read drawings/prints to identify operations, specifications, and tolerances. Meet precise tolerances and finishing requirements. Use various hand tools to finish parts and verify dimensions. Use measuring devices such as micrometers and calipers to ensure specifications are met. Perform operator maintenance tasks such as oiling, greasing, and cleaning the machine (5S). Use forklift or crane to store and retrieve fixturing and other essential equipment. Operate other machines in the department as needed. Qualifications High school diploma required; advanced education or apprenticeship preferred. 5 years of CNC mill set‑up and programming/editing experience required. Experience with Mazak machines preferred. Strong skills in editing G‑code and manual programming in Mazatrol preferred. Strong math skills and the ability to work from detailed part drawings and specifications. Willingness to move between work centers. Work Environment / Physical Demands Ability to lift heavy weights, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks. Ability to work in various conditions such as extreme heat and high noise levels.
