divh2Generator Technician Specialized in HVAC Temporary Power Systems/h2pFull-Time | Onsite/In Field | Orlando, Florida Reports to the Director of Field Operations/ph3About Your Role/h3pThe role of a Generator Technician HVAC Temporary Power Systems is critical to the success of our field operations. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting temporary power generation and climate control systems used in event environments, temporary structures, and emergency response deployments./ppAs a Generator Technician, you will support the installation and operation of generators, electrical distribution systems, and HVAC equipment that power tents, temporary facilities, and field operations. This position plays a key role in ensuring our equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry safety standards and electrical regulations./ppWhats a Typical Day Look Like?/ppTypically, you will arrive at our Orlando warehouse between 7:00am and 8:00am to prepare equipment and receive your assignment for the day. Our teams frequently support multiple projects simultaneously, so your work location and responsibilities will vary. One day you may be preparing generators and electrical distribution equipment in the warehouse, while the next day you may be traveling to support a multi-day installation at an event site or temporary structure./ppOur Rapid Response division supports government contractors during natural disasters and emergency response operations. In those situations, technicians may deploy to affected areas to install temporary power and climate control systems to support recovery efforts. Deployment schedules and hours may vary depending on project needs./ppIMPORTANT: This position requires approximately 75% travel nationwide, including deployments to event locations, construction sites, disaster response areas, and government installations. When assigned to out-of-town projects, the company will cover all related expenses, including transportation, lodging, and meals./ph3What Youll Do/h3ulliInstall, configure, and maintain portable and standby generator systems for temporary power applications/liliSet up temporary electrical distribution systems, including panels, cabling, and grounding systems/liliInstall and configure HVAC units and climate control systems used in tents and temporary structures/liliPerform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on generators, electrical systems, and HVAC equipment/liliPreventative maintenance, including fuel system checks, cooling system inspections, and electrical testing/liliPerform load bank testing and system performance checks on generators/liliAssist with the mobilization, installation, and removal of power and climate control equipment at project sites/liliSupport tent and temporary structure installations as needed in coordination with field teams/liliMaintain service records and equipment maintenance documentation/liliFollow electrical safety procedures, including proper PPE, grounding, and lockout/tagout practices/liliMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at both warehouse and field sites/liliFollow all instructions from supervisors and implement operational plans as directed/li/ulh3What Were Looking For/h3pYou are an individual with an unwavering commitment to safety, operational excellence, and customer service./pulliYou demonstrate strong technical knowledge of generator systems, electrical distribution, and HVAC/liliYou maintain a strong safety mindset and follow all electrical safety protocols/liliYou are dependable and arrive prepared and on time for each assignment/liliYou have open availability, including evenings, weekends, and extended deployments when required/liliYou work well as part of a team and support field crews and leadership/liliYou maintain a positive attitude and are committed to continuous learning/liliYou are comfortable traveling and working in various environments across the country/li/ulh3Required Qualifications/h3ulliValid Electrician License (Journeyman or equivalent preferred)/liliMinimum 35 years of experience working with generators, electrical systems, HVAC systems, or temporary power solutions/liliExperience installing power or HVAC systems in tents, temporary structures, or event environments preferred/liliValid drivers license with ability to travel nationwide/liliAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and work in outdoor environments/li/ulh3Preferred Certifications May Include:/h3ulliOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Safety Training/liliEPA Section 608 Certification (HVAC Refrigerant Handling)/liliNFPA 70E Electrical Safety Training/li/ulh3What We Offer/h3pWe recognize that our team is our greatest asset.
