Registered NurseThis position offers opportunities in a medical-surgical unit specializing in the care of patients with neurological disorders such as stroke and epilepsy. The nursing staff will provide care for a diverse patient population, including post-operative neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, and spinal fusion patients. The unit has specialized beds for telemetry and bariatric care. The nurse will work in a supportive environment with interdisciplinary support from physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Nurse-patient ratios are typically 1:5-6 during the night shift. The role may require floating to other medical-surgical units, ICU units, and emergency department waiting rooms. A focus on patient-centered care is essential in this nursing position. A commitment to completing necessary certifications before starting work is required.
