About the Position

Job Title

Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (Night Shift)

Location

McAllen, Texas

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 6-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients throughout all stages of labor
• Assist in the operating room during cesarean sections
• Monitor fetal heart rates using electronic fetal monitoring equipment
• Manage antepartum patients with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratios during final stage labor and C-section procedures
• Float to Post-Partum unit as needed and rotate weekends and on-call shifts

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification
• Proficiency with fetal heart monitors, ultrasound, and OR equipment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Experience with Meditech EMR system
• Assertive, friendly demeanor with strong critical thinking skills
