Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status and deliver ordered therapies, including aerosolized medications and oxygen management, across assigned units
• Set up, monitor, and manage mechanical ventilators, supporting weaning per physician orders and facility protocol
• Draw and analyze arterial blood gases per facility protocol
• Respond to rapid responses and codes, providing airway support and assisting with intubation when assigned

Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist Requirements:

• 2+ years of recent Registered Respiratory Therapist experience.
• Must hold all required certifications and licenses as mandated by Kentucky and national regulatory bodies.

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital provides acute care for an 11-county area of south central Kentucky from Somerset. Its hospital services include intensive care, a 24-hour ER and a Joint Commission-certified Primary Stroke Center.

Imaging serves inpatients and outpatients through the hospital and a separate imaging center, with CT-guided biopsies and drain placement among its procedures.

Adult neurosurgery treats brain and spinal disorders, with two surgical suites available around the clock and robotic guidance incorporating preoperative planning and 3D navigation.

Cardiac catheterization services include angioplasty and stenting for heart blockages, along with pacemaker and defibrillator implantation and pulmonary blood-clot removal.

Women's and children's services combine labor and delivery with a Level II neonatal nursery, while gynecological surgery is also available.

The inpatient behavioral health unit treats adults and older adults, providing 24-hour supervised psychiatric care and group therapy.
