Job Description:

\n

\n
• Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures. 
\n
• Scrubs, gowns, and gloves for surgical procedures.
\n
• Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedures, displaying knowledge of procedure and patient positioning.
\n
• Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation and before the incision is closed.
\n
• Gowns and gloves surgeon and assistants. Assists other team members with terminal cleaning of the room and prepping for the next patient.
\n

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: \n
\n• Interpersonal Skills \n
\n• Completion of validation skills \n
\n• Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field set-up \n
\n• Knowledge of sterilization techniques \n
\n• Knowledge to anticipate critical emergencies of Specialty Call Team \n
\n• Ability to organize, promote, and conduct relevant in-services on unit \n
\n
Education: \n
\n• Associate [Preferred] \n
\n• High School Grad or Equiv [Required] \n
\n• Technical/Vocational School [Required] \n
\n

Work Experience: \n
\n• 2+ experience as certified surgical tech [Preferred] \n
\n• Proficient in a minimum of 2 surgical specialties [Preferred] \n

\n• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]  \n
