Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in related nursing specialty preferred License: RN License in state of employment or compact Certifications: BLS certification from AHA required Must-Have: - Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred. - Experience in a related nursing specialty preferred. - RN License in state of employment or compact. - BLS certification from AHA required. Description: Responsible for providing routine and complex care across assigned patients. Practices independently and demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of situations. Continuously develops the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as needed. Utilizes the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. Administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocols. Monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments. Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided. Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers while identifying issues and resources.
