Bioanalytical Scientist

Overview Molecular Biology Analytics (MBA) group supporting Biologics Process Development in New Jersey. Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey. This role is 100% onsite and requires presence at the New Brunswick office throughout the assignment. Key Responsibilities Generating and analysing data characterising the integrity, integration number, copy number, transcript quality and variants arising from the expression cassette used to generate cell lines of interest. Identifying tolerance limits of the present platform, determining strategies to make quantum improvements in technology and processes. Troubleshooting assays. Assessing and implementing novel molecular technologies to improve current platform processes for cell line performance and characterization. Identifying and developing new technologies and processes for constructing and enhancing cell lines destined for biological manufacturing. Collaborating on implementation of genomic and transcriptomic platforms. Authoring and reviewing reports requiring molecular analytical support. Setting up and maintaining collaborative interactions with Research and Development, Molecular Biology, Process Development, and where appropriate, manufacturing groups. Maintaining state‑of‑the‑art knowledge, presenting at meetings, publishing results, and authoring technical documents. Assisting with tissue culture experiments as needed. Maintaining a safe work environment. Qualifications Required MSc with a minimum of 4–6 years, or Ph.D. with a minimum of 0–2 years of relevant experience. Solid background in molecular biology. Proficiency in a number of molecular biology techniques is essential, particularly in DNA and RNA isolation, Southern and Northern blot, qPCR, cDNA generation, and primer design. Experience in plasmid cloning and DNA sequencing is preferred. Experience in Next Generation Sequencing and tissue culture is very helpful. Ability to design experiments independently, collect and interpret data. Good laboratory practices to maintain sample purity and integrity in an aseptic environment. Effective oral and written communication capabilities. Work Schedule Monday to Friday (normal business hours). Compensation This posting is for a contract assignment with ASK Staffing (Employer of Record: ASK Staffing, Inc.). The starting hourly compensation ranges from $42 to $44.63 per hour. Final compensation will be determined by the assignment characteristics.
