Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced hospital environment. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions promptly upon arrival and prioritize care based on urgency.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures following established protocols.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Educate patients and their families regarding health management and treatment plans.
• Respond quickly to patient emergencies and stabilize conditions as needed.
• Comply with all hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold current and valid RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of recent emergency room experience.
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking and quick decision-making skills.
• Be able to work 36-hour shifts with EOW and EOH rotations.
• Reside at least 75 miles from the facility; local contracts are not eligible.
