RN ICU

The Registered Nurse in the ICU Night shift role is responsible for delivering specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced critical care environment. The nurse will perform patient assessments, administer medications, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and provide high-quality clinical care. This position requires strong communication skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work effectively during night shifts. A minimum of two years' experience in critical care nursing is preferred. Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting during night shifts.
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs continuously.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and according to protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and clinical observations.
• Utilize telemetry monitoring and other advanced critical care equipment effectively.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado.
• Minimum of two years' experience in critical care nursing preferred.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• ACLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• PALS or ENPC certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.

• Telemetry experience preferred.
• TNCC certification preferred.

• Position requires working night shifts in an ICU environment.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies and critical situations promptly.
• Ongoing certification acquisition (ACLS, PALS/ENPC) required within specified timeframes.

• Night shift schedule with hours determined by the facility.
• Shift assignments based on hospital staffing needs and policies.
