- Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering appropriate diagnostic tests, and crafting personalized treatment plans
- Managing and addressing acute, episodic, or chronic health concerns independently or collaboratively with physicians
- Educating patients and their families on preventive care, wellness strategies, and effective disease management
- Prescribing necessary medications and therapies within your practice scope
- Engaging in patient follow-ups and chronic care coordination
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide integrated, comprehensive care
- Maintaining clear and accurate documentation in electronic medical record systems
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner training program
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialization
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or commitment to secure within 90 days)
