PreK3 Teacher – Full-TimeSt. Eugene School | Yonkers, New York Potential Immediate StartSt. Eugene School, a Catholic school serving students from PreK through Grade 8, is seeking a warm, energetic, and dedicated NYS-certified Early Childhood teacher to join our faculty as a PreK3 Teacher, with the potential to begin immediately.This is an excellent opportunity for a certified educator who may be beginning their professional journey in early childhood education and is looking for a school where they can learn, contribute, and grow as part of a supportive faculty.About the PositionOur PreK3 program provides our youngest learners with a joyful, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate introduction to school. The position utilizes a split-session model, with one group of PreK3 students attending a morning session and a second group attending an afternoon session.The teacher will create a classroom where children feel safe, loved, engaged, and excited to come to school each day. Our goal is to build the routines, independence, social-emotional skills, and early academic foundations that prepare children for continued success while always respecting the developmental needs of three-year- olds.Responsibilities include:Planning and delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction and activitiesCreating a warm, welcoming, organized, and safe classroom environmentEstablishing consistent routines and age-appropriate expectationsSupporting children's social, emotional, academic, physical, and spiritual developmentCommunicating positively and professionally with familiesCollaborating closely with classroom assistants, fellow teachers, and school leadershipParticipating in school and parish activities and eventsSupporting and modeling the Catholic identity, values, and mission of St. Eugene SchoolMaintaining appropriate student records, classroom documentation, and family communicationWho We're Looking ForCandidates should hold New York State Early Childhood Education certification (Birth–Grade 2).Previous early childhood classroom experience is welcomed, but we are especially open to a certified teacher who may be at the beginning of their early childhood career and is eager to develop their skills within a supportive school environment.We are looking for someone who is compassionate, dependable, creative, collaborative, and genuinely enjoys working with young children.
