Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced hospital setting. Utilizes nursing skills and protocols to ensure high-quality patient outcomes while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and determine appropriate emergency interventions.
• Implement and document nursing care plans in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions and treatments.
• Adhere to safety protocols and clinical guidelines for emergency care delivery.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Oregon RN license or be willing to obtain one.
• Possess recent (within 2 years) acute care hospital experience, preferably in emergency departments.
• Be certified in BLS, ACLS, and PALS through AHA; TNCC certification preferred.
• Demonstrate strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Be willing to obtain required certifications if not active at the time of submission.
