PRN Nurse Anesthetist

PRN (as needed), daytime hours only and no call requirements. Fast-paced outpatient surgery environment, collaborative and patient-focused team.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for surgical procedures, including assessments, medication review, and patient education.
• Monitor patients during the recovery phase and provide post-anesthesia care.
• Assess patient status, recognize changes in condition, and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Educate patients and family members regarding preoperative and postoperative care instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification, PALS certification
• Previous Pre-Op, PACU, Recovery Room, Ambulatory Surgery, or Critical Care experience preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
