Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN)
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse to join our team for a 13-week contract starting in October. This position is for night shifts, requiring a commitment to work three 12-hour shifts per week.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU.
- Be prepared to float to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Acute Care Pediatrics as necessary, based on staffing needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Participate in educational and training activities related to pediatric cardiac care, as experience is highly regarded.
Work Schedule:
- Must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays.
- Required to work three weekends within a six-week schedule.
- Time off approval is limited to 40 hours, and requests for time off will not be approved during the first two weeks of the contract.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Pediatric cardiac experience is a plus.
- Ability to work night shifts and maintain flexibility in scheduling.
- Willingness to float to additional units as needed.
