Department Economics & Finance Supervisor Title Chair, Economics Department Salary Range $55,000 to $60,000 Position Summary Full‑time lecturer position in economics and statistics to begin August 1, 2026. Duties Provide excellent instruction in a variety of undergraduate introductory economics and business statistics courses, carrying a teaching load of 24 credits per academic year. Other courses may be assigned depending on the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Assess students’ work and provide detailed feedback on how to improve their content knowledge, critical thinking skills, oral and written communication skills, etc. Mentor undergraduate students through one‑on‑one and group interactions and independent study opportunities. Attend conferences and workshops as necessary to remain active in the field(s) of study and qualifications for AACSB accreditation; engage in department and School of Business and Entrepreneurship faculty activities to further develop teaching and mentoring skills; complete campus‑wide training required by the Office of Academic Affairs and Human Resources. Perform other departmental duties and attend activities as necessary, including attending department meetings and participating in committees, task forces, and others as required. Basic Qualifications Completed a graduate degree in Economics or a related field. Recent engagement with industry. Meets AACSB faculty qualifications in one of the categories. Teaching experience. Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring of students, and ongoing scholarship. Experience or interest coordinating curriculum and co‑curricular programming. Preferred Qualifications Terminal degree in business or a related field such as Ph.D., D.B.A., or J.D. Demonstrated excellence in both teaching and research. Teaching experience in economics or statistics. Employment Conditions Only candidates already authorized to work in the U.S. will be considered.
