2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor (Dept 270) Job Category: 1.2B - Supervisors Requisition Number: 2NDSH002639 Locations: Prairie Du Sac, WI Full-Time, On-site, Salaried-Exempt Summary Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor directs all maintenance personnel in the PDS Facility and will assume the duties of the Maintenance Manager in his absence as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Review work orders and ensure all work schedules are met. Organize and assign work. Supervise skilled and semi-skilled employees performing major repairs, preventive maintenance to buildings and equipment and grounds. Anticipate maintenance and personnel problems and resolve them to minimize their effects on production. Ensure safety issues are addressed and solved. Complete maintenance personnel reviews in a timely manner. Other duties may be assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for direct supervision of maintenance personnel in the PDS Facility. Qualifications Education and/or Experience: Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two‑year college or technical school; two‑year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination; minimum of 4 years in maintenance department, held a relief supervisor position. Computer skills/experience in work order systems and preventive maintenance. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before groups. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume; apply basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems; interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Physical Demands: Able to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb ladders, lift 30‑35 lbs, work at ceiling level. Work Environment: Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes, outside weather, heat, electrical shock; loud noise levels.
