Staff Accountant
Temporary
Kforce's client in Saint Louis is seeking a Staff Accountant to provide temporary accounting support while a team member is on leave. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on accounting experience who can quickly assist with bank reconciliations, general ledger support, and basic month-end activities. Responsibilities:
- Perform bank statement reconciliations and compare activity to the general ledger
- Assist with escrow and operating account reconciliations
- Review GL accounts against supporting reports and identify discrepancies
- Support basic month-end close and balancing activities
- Organize and maintain bank statements and related accounting documentation
- Prepare and send routine statements and communications to internal teams
- Utilize Excel for reconciliations, account balancing, and general accounting support
- Accounting degree is not required with relevant experience
- Previous accounting experience, preferably including bank reconciliations
- Basic Excel proficiency, including editing spreadsheets, creating tabs, copy/paste, and basic formulas
- General understanding of GL accounting
- Sage Intacct experience is preferred, but not required
