Medical Charge Entry Specialist - Onsite Full Time Legal Address, Vero, FL, US Position Summary Vero Orthopaedics is seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Charge Entry Specialist to join our Business Office team. This position is responsible for accurate charge entry, claim review, coding support, and insurance billing functions to help ensure timely and compliant reimbursement processes. The ideal candidate will have experience with medical billing workflows, insurance payment policies, CPT/HCPCS and ICD‑10 coding principles, and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Coding certification is preferred but not required for candidates with strong billing and revenue cycle experience. Accurately enter and review daily charges for assigned providers Review claims for coding accuracy, modifiers, diagnosis linkage, and payer‑specific requirements Verify CPT, HCPCS, and ICD‑10 coding accuracy based on documentation Identify coding discrepancies or missing information and communicate with providers or staff as needed Assist with claim edits, rejections, denials, and corrected claims Maintain understanding of Medicare, commercial insurance, Workers’ Compensation, and payer billing requirements Work claim production and edit reports daily Monitor encounters with missing charges and follow up appropriately Maintain compliance with HIPAA and office policies Provide excellent customer service and professional communication with patients, providers, and insurance representatives Qualifications Required: High school diploma or GED Minimum 1–2 years of experience in medical billing, coding, revenue cycle, or healthcare administration Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance claims processing Familiarity with CPT, HCPCS, and ICD‑10 coding concepts Experience using electronic health record (EHR) and practice management systems Strong computer, organizational, and communication skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment Preferred: Experience in orthopaedic or specialty medical billing Understanding of Medicare and commercial payer guidelines Knowledge of claim denials, modifiers, and reimbursement workflows Experience with NextGen software Benefits Offered Competitive pay Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life and disability insurance 401(k) Paid time off Schedule Full Time - Onsite Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Additional Requirements Must pass a background check and drug screen.
