Job Title: Brake Press Operator Job Description This role supports metal fabrication operations by setting up and operating CNC brake press equipment to produce high‑quality sheet metal components. The Brake Press Operator reads and interprets blueprints, ensures parts meet specifications, and maintains strict quality and safety standards in a manufacturing environment while contributing to overall production goals. Responsibilities Set up and operate brake press machines for metal fabrication in accordance with production requirements. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and part specifications to ensure accurate part production. Produce parts to specification with a strong focus on zero defects and consistent quality. Perform in‑process quality checks using company‑supplied measuring tools and document results as needed. Accurately track production quantities, scrap, and defects in line with company procedures. Set up fabrication machinery and tooling as required to support production runs. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with safety and housekeeping standards. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily and weekly production goals. Essential Skills At least 6 months of experience as machine operator in a manufacturing facility. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and understand part functionality. Experience using precision measuring devices for in‑process quality checks. Knowledge of metal fabrication processes and sheet metal work. Ability to operate press brake and related press operation equipment safely and efficiently. General production experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high‑quality, defect‑free parts. High school diploma or equivalent experience. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position operates on a first‑shift schedule, Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The role is based on a manufacturing shop floor with moderate noise levels, where employees work directly with CNC brake press equipment and metal fabrication machinery. The job requires standing, walking, bending, and handling sheet metal and other materials throughout the shift while adhering to established safety and quality procedures. Employees must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel‑toed boots and hearing protection, and are expected to maintain an organized, safety‑focused workspace at all times. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
