Cytogenetic Technologist
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center
Prepares, examines, and analyzes chromosomes found in biological specimens such as amniotic fluids, bone marrow, and blood, to aid in diagnosis and treatment of genetic diseases. Will also perform advanced technical duties in the diagnostic study of cells for the purpose of recognition and classification. Assists in the training of subordinate personnel. Prepares and interprets reports, records, forms and other correspondence. Qualifications A minimum of a Bachelor's degree with a major in Biology, Microbiology or related field. A minimum of one year of laboratory experience.
