This opportunity entails being responsible for providing daily inspection of multiple, complex activities within a given discipline/trade performed by the contractor in order to monitor the project compliance with plans, specifications and other contract provisions. Maintain daily logs of inspection work and review discrepancies with the Field Engineer. Perform non-routine and moderately complex assignments normally related to multiple and/or medium to large projects. What You’ll Do Observe, document, and verify work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans. Confirm procedures are followed and material used conforms to specifications. Utilize engineering inspection practices to perform standard mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work to date. Maintain Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contractor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified. Perform on-site material testing and produce as-constructed sketches as required. Perform other duties as assigned. What You’ll Need High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 3 years of construction related experience. All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements. What You’ll Bring Recognize and escalates discrepancies or conflicts within documents. Interpret and understand schedules to provide feedback. Operate relevant testing equipment to assigned duties. Understand Microsoft Office Suite and other computer skills at an advanced level. Calculate complex pay quantities. Identify, document, and escalates change conditions. What We Prefer Minimum 2 years experience. Willing to travel up to two hours one way to work site/flexible work hours. Technical/Computer/GIS/GPS experience. Communication skills.
