Basic Function:

Working under minimal supervision, the Commercial Custodian is responsible for performing a range of duties to maintain a clean and orderly environment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

o Utilize the Advanced Technology Recycling customized commercial cleaning checklist to perform all tasks to the standards established.

o Common tasks include:

• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum and/or hand scrub floors using brooms, mops, and vacuum cleaners.
• Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, floors, toilet, mirrors, tables, chairs, refrigerators, microwaves, etc. in restrooms, break rooms and/or kitchenettes
• Replenish supplies in restrooms, break rooms and kitchen as well as empty trash cans and recyclables into disposal areas
• Wipe down walls and woodwork, doorknobs, light switches etc.
• Monitors/maintains cleaning products inventory; requests needs through supervisor/manager
• Minor maintenance tasks (i.e., Changing light bulbs; fixing/repairing broken toilet seats and other dispensers, unclogging toilets/sinks/drains, etc.)
• Perform additional cleaning or custodial duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• HS Degree or Equivalent preferred

• 2 years' experience in industrial/commercial office warehouse cleaning

Qualifications:

• Ability to work without direct supervision

• Excellent organization and housekeeping skills

• Understanding of cleaning solutions and their applications

• Excellent communication skills

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Physical demands include walking, standing, bending, kneeling, push and pull cleaning cart and vacuum

• Punctual and dependable attendance

• Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and reach.

• Successful candidate must be willing to agree and hold in confidence, all applicable Data and Trade information for our list of clients, and sign a Non-Disclosure/Confidentiality Agreement stating as such.
