Vascular Sonographer (PD) Tech II

JOB DESCRIPTION Overlook Medical Center is seeking a Registered Vascular Sonographer to perform high‑quality vascular examinations using IAC‑accredited protocols—including LE, UE Venous, Carotid, and PVR—while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and education throughout procedures. The sonographer collaborates with physicians and team members to support diagnostic accuracy and continuous quality improvement. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES Perform comprehensive vascular examinations. Verify patient identity, explain procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort. Accurately document and report findings in a timely manner. Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and team members. Maintain equipment and exam rooms in compliance with infection control standards. Participate in laboratory quality assurance and performance‑improvement initiatives. Attend required meetings, in‑services, and training sessions. Demonstrate teamwork, accountability, and a commitment to continuous learning. Experience using Epic and Change Health software preferred. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Education: High School Graduate or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited CVT school with a focus on vascular sonography (CAAHEP accredited preferred). Skills and Qualifications: Credentialed with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) certification required. Minimum one‑year experience in the field preferred.
