About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med/Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour PM-AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS and ACLS Must-Have: - Experience with chest tubes, lines, and drains for post-surgical patients - Proficiency in managing IV drips such as diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone - Experience with trachs and laryngectomies - Proficiency in telemetry and complex wound care - Experience with central lines care, maintenance, and blood draws Description: The role involves providing care in a 21-bed Med-Surg Neuro unit. The unit focuses on neuromuscular disorders, meningitis, primary stroke care, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury. Responsibilities include caring for surgical patients undergoing tumor resections for brain and spine, spinal surgery, and head and neck cancer procedures. The unit is also a Level IV Epilepsy center, specializing in implanted electrodes and scalp leads. Candidates must demonstrate experience with complex clinical conditions and provide comprehensive nursing care. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for collaboration within the healthcare team.
