Our client, a leading organization in the technology sector, is seeking a Software Engineer 4 - Contingent to join their team. As a Software Engineer 4 - Contingent, you will be part of the Consumer Lending Operations Technology department supporting high-availability application and middleware platforms. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, proactive mindset, and excellent collaboration abilities, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Software Engineer 4 Location: Charlotte, NC What's the Job? Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering. Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges requiring in-depth evaluation. Contribute to the resolution of complex situations by understanding policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Collaborate strategically with client personnel to improve platform stability and reliability. Implement observability, automation, and CI/CD practices to enhance operational efficiency and stability. What's Needed? 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work, training, military experience, or education. Experience supporting high-availability applications and middleware in complex environments. Hands‑on automation and configuration management skills, with proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Strong Linux administration experience, preferably with RHEL, supporting enterprise production workloads. Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, OpenShift (OCP), Kubernetes, and container‑adjacent hosting models. What's in it for me?
