Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement software code for the company’s primary website; add new features, maintain existing functionality, and ensure that the underlying infrastructure scales with business growth Implement features across multiple systems using server-side programming languages and application frameworks Write and maintain client-side code to support dynamic, responsive user interfaces Develop and maintain back-end software that supports servers and databases, including access, storage, and management of business data across multiple database environments and data warehousing systems Utilize distributed and in-memory data storage solutions to access metadata and cached data, and ensure backend changes do not negatively impact system performance or service availability Develop and implement integrations with third-party service APIs, including payment processing, address verification, and external user acquisition platforms Perform iterative design cycles and deliver features on schedule using agile development methodologies Participate in daily team meetings to coordinate immediate development tasks, as well as regular sprint planning and review meetings to define near- and medium-term engineering commitments Participate in team and project management meetings to define long-term project timelines and major milestones Maintain continuous integration and deployment processes; create unit and integration tests; and ensure compatibility with the company’s automated build, test, and deployment workflows Maintain and manage product source code in a shared version control system Collaborate with product management to develop and refine product specifications Present product demonstrations to team members and stakeholders Lead and participate in regular engineering knowledge-sharing sessions to promote best practices and familiarity with the company’s systems across the organization May telecommute in the U.S. Minimum Requirements Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field. Experience: Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineering role. Skills: Java, C, or C++; Python, Groovy, JavaScript, ReactJS; RESTful Web Services; Spring Boot; relational database such as PostgreSQL including schema design, queries, and performance; object relational mapping frameworks including Java Persistence API (JPA) or Java Object Oriented Query (jOOQ); NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, Redis, ElasticSearch; cloud Infrastructure (AWS: EC2, ELB/ALB, EKS, Aurora, MSK); Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, Git and Gradle; Unit and Integration testing using Spock, JUnit, Mockito; load testing; batch processing and asynchronous processing using Quartz framework and Kafka; microservices architecture; monolithic to microservices migration; monitoring and alerting; performance tuning and scalability #J-18808-Ljbffr
