Position: School Operations Manager The School Operations Manager is a leadership position responsible for strategically overseeing the school operations team and third‑party services to ensure operational excellence across key areas such as financial management, vendor relations, facilities, and school‑wide logistics. Core Responsibilities Lead and manage members of the school’s operations team, setting a clear operational vision aligned with school priorities. Collaborate with school leadership and the MSS Network team to plan the annual school budget, monitor utilization, identify cost‑saving opportunities and risks. Work with the Director of Operations and school leaders to assess operational systems and drive continuous improvement. Plan and execute school‑based events and field trips, managing requests, procurement, vendor contracting, and event support. Support family and volunteer initiatives. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing transactions, monitoring budgets, handling tuition and fee collections, reconciling payments, and preparing financial reports. Oversee procurement and inventory operations—purchasing curriculum materials, textbooks, supplies, uniforms, furniture, and equipment, maintaining inventory records. Manage facility maintenance, including vendor and contractor relationships, in partnership with the Director of Operations. Coordinate school communications via website, social media, newsletters, policy notifications, and family outreach through email, phone, text, and print. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with team members, leaders, and vendors. Strong problem‑solving abilities and independence in a fast‑paced environment. Successful experience leading high‑performing teams and fostering ownership and accountability. Ability to develop and manage multi‑department and project budgets. Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field). 3+ years of experience in accounts payable, procurement, or operations, with demonstrated budget management expertise. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and budget management software. Compensation & Benefits Starting salary range: $64,000–$77,000, commensurate with experience.
