We bring our industry expertise together to continually push the boundaries of what insurance can be for our clients.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations, acting as a technical resource regarding risk control matters for underwriting, claims, and insureds or potential insuredsEnsure quality surveys are completed to assist in risk selection as an integral part of the underwriting processDevelop, submit and implement state-mandated loss control plansRespond to state-mandated loss control inspections and data callsKeep abreast of any changes to laws and regulations which pertain to loss controlResponsible for performing account coordination, directing work, quality assurance, problem solving and solutions managementEnsure quality surveys are completed to assist in risk selection as an integral part of the underwriting processConduct quality assurance checks and approve completed surveys for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standardsAddress and resolve any survey-related issues or client concerns in a timely mannerParticipate in or complete surveys when requiredComplete recommendation letters and follow upsLiaison between vendors, underwriting, and claims to optimize delivery of risk control servicesExecute programs to aid in the reduction of controllable losses as requested by underwritersDetermine how best to align service providers based on technical skill setsAssist in developing guidelines and tools for surveyors and servicesFacilitate effective communication between field staff, clients, and internal stakeholdersManage approval process for insureds’ consultative services and extended training programsAssign work to vendors/consultants and ensure timely, accurate completionDevelop financial plans and budgets for Loss Control expenseEnhance and maintain Coaction’s loss control services online portalDevelop or improve processes, metrics, and best practices for survey and service delivery. Identify and implement improvements including identifying optimal uses of automation and artificial intelligence. Prepare and deliver operational and performance reports to stakeholders and senior management.Qualifications7+ years P&C loss control/risk engineering experience, including 5+ years of loss control field expertise, at least 3 years managing large multi-line service accounts and vendor management.Ability to identify loss drivers, perform loss analysis, develop/build/implement service plans.Familiarity with state insurance regulatory requirementsAble to make decisions with and without established guidelines and provide technical support to underwriters and insuredsExperience with training, mentoring, coaching other loss control professionals.Strong verbal/written/listening/presentation & communications skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team and comfortable with hybrid office environmentStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, multi-tasking abilities, and flexibility with prioritizing/re-prioritizing of tasks**This role must sit in our Morristown, NJ office on our hybrid schedule, being in office no less than 3 days a week**.Salary range specific to for this role : $111,000-$147,000 + discretionary incentive bonus + benefits depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, and qualifications. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
