Director of Product Engineering

Leading a dynamic product engineering team, the full-time Director of Product Engineering will focus on enhancing team performance, driving architectural direction, and operationalizing AI across the software delivery lifecycle in a remote work environment. Key responsibilities Coach and mentor engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and accountability while maintaining team alignment and motivation Evaluate and refine engineering processes, driving continuous improvement in planning, shipping, and delivery practices Set architectural direction and governance for AI-assisted systems, ensuring sound decision-making and prioritization of technical debt Required qualifications 10+ years in software engineering, with at least 6 years in engineering leadership roles Proven experience in scaling delivery across multiple workstreams through leadership of other engineers Strong track record in managing the full people-leadership cycle, including hiring and performance management Experience operationalizing AI across an SDLC with defined quality standards Ability to engage in architectural discussions and technical trade-offs without being a hands-on developer
