Morning Gym Opener

The Morning Opener will be responsible for creating a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to members and guests.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Opening the club on time daily.
• Arriving at 4:45a.m. to walk through the club and open at 5:00a.m. and work until 11:00am.
• Greeting members, prospective members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service by saying hello and goodbye to each member.
• Handling all front desk related activities including:
  • Answering phones in an upbeat friendly manner and assisting callers with a variety of questions.
  • Checking in all members into the system.
  • New member sign-up.
  • Taking prospective members on tours.
  • Counting money in register.
  • Learning and understanding our computer operating system.
• Facilitating needed updates to member's accounts.
• Responding to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevating to Assistant Manager or General Manager as needed.
• Assisting in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the club.

Qualifications/requirements include:

• Customer service background preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• A passion for fitness and health.
• Upbeat and positive attitude!
• Punctuality and reliability is a must.
• Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding the member's expectations.
• Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve.
• Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
• High School diploma/GED equivalent required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Physical functions include:

• Must have reliable transportation to be at facility Monday-Friday.
• Ability to work in a group or team setting.
• Face to face retail customer service experience preferred.
• The ability to stand/work on your feet.
• The ability to be energetic and outgoing at all times.
• The ability to handle weights of up to 50lbs.
