This opportunity entails being responsible for providing daily inspection of multiple, complex activities within a given discipline/trade performed by the contractor in order to monitor the project compliance with plans, specifications and other contract provisions. Maintains daily logs of inspection work which is assigned and reviews discrepancies or changes with Field Engineer. Performs non-routine and moderately complex assignments normally related to multiple and/or medium to large projects.**What You'll Do:*** Observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans. Confirms procedures are followed and material used conforms to specifications.* Utilizes engineering inspection practices to perform standard mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work to date.* Maintains Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contactor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified.* Performs on-site material testing and produces as-constructed sketches as required.* Performs other duties as assigned.**What You'll Need:*** High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 3 years of construction related experience.* All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.**What You'll Bring:*** Recognizes and escalates discrepancies or conflicts within documents.* Interprets and understands schedules to provide feedback.* Operates relevant testing equipment to assigned duties.* Understands Microsoft Office Suite and other computer skills at an advanced level.* Calculates complex pay quantities.* Identifies, documents, and escalates change conditions.**What We Prefer:*** Minimum 2 years experience* Willing to travel up to two hours one way to work site/flexible work hours* Technical/Computer/GIS/GPS experience* Communication skills* Teachable/Self-motivated* Has initative/independant thinker* Team player**Additional Information**Click here for benefits information: HNTB Total RewardsClick here to learn more about Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/VeteranVisa sponsorship is not available for this position.#AK #ConstructionManagement #Water #J-18808-Ljbffr
