Special Procedures Tech I

Summary A clinically competent professional who works collaboratively with RNs and physicians in the cardiology and radiology angiography suites to provide radiologic assistance for procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Scrub and assist physicians during diagnostic/interventional angiographic procedures. Operate angiographic equipment to obtain and optimize diagnostic imaging. Responsible for sterile table set-up for specific angiographic/implant procedures. Competent to scrub procedures 1 to 2 of the following specialties: Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, Electrophysiology, Structural Heart, or Interventional Neuro-Radiology. Competency is determined by the successful completion of department orientation and contingent on team leader and management approval. Required Qualifications Valid Illinois RT license, ARRT and IEMA certifications required. CPR required. ACLS within 6 months of hire. Previous radiology experience required. Previously Interventional Cardiology, Radiology, or Neuro-Radiology strongly preferred. Must be able to take 8-10 days of call for emergent procedures per month. Must be able to arrive to the hospital within 30 minutes of being notified. Work Shift Details Days: 10 hours, 10hr day shift, 8-10 days per month on-call requirement. Department: INTERVENTIONAL SUITE. Compensation The expected pay for this position is $32.81 - $41.83. The final pay rate offered may be more than the posted range based on factors including licensure, certifications, work experience, education, knowledge, demonstrated abilities, internal equity, market data, and more.
