Most of our clients are recurring customers, so you'll regularly return to familiar homes and build relationships with clients who value the work you do.

• $20/hour starting pay during paid training
• $21–$24/hour as your skills, independence, and responsibilities grow
• Additional $2/hour for deep cleaning

You don't need professional house-cleaning experience to start with Happy Maids.

New employees begin at $20/hour during paid training and work alongside an experienced cleaning professional. Training typically lasts 1–3 weeks , depending on your experience and comfort level.

After training, employees have opportunities to advance as they develop their skills, demonstrate consistent quality and reliability, and become comfortable working more independently.

Our general pay progression is:

• Trainee — $20/hour
• Cleaning Professional — $21/hour
• Experienced Cleaning Professional — $22/hour
• Senior Cleaning Professional — $23/hour
• Lead/Trainer — $24/hour

Deep cleaning pays an additional $2/hour , and move-in/move-out cleaning pays an additional $3/hour .

• Travel to clients' homes throughout the northwest suburbs using your own reliable transportation
• Clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, and common areas
• Dust, vacuum, mop, and clean surfaces throughout the home
• Perform occasional detail cleaning such as baseboards, window sills, and other deep-cleaning tasks
• Work with a partner on many homes and larger cleaning projects
• Work independently on smaller homes once you're trained and comfortable doing so
• Communicate professionally with clients and our office
• Report damages, maintenance concerns, or special client requests

Happy Maids provides all cleaning products, microfiber cloths, vacuums, equipment, and training.

This is daytime, Monday–Friday work. No nights or weekends.

Schedules are assigned Monday through Friday based on client appointments and employee availability. Start times typically range from 7:00–9:00 a.m. , and most team members finish between 3:00–5:00 p.m.

Full-time and some part-time weekday schedules may be available depending on current staffing needs.

You should be:

• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Able to lift, bend, reach, and remain active throughout the workday
• Able to communicate professionally with clients and coworkers
• Available for an agreed-upon weekday schedule
• Able to provide reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Able to pass a background check

Professional cleaning experience is welcome, but it is not required. We'll train the right person.

Happy Maids serves homes throughout Barrington, Crystal Lake, Cary, Lake Zurich, Algonquin, Hoffman Estates, McHenry, and surrounding northwest suburbs.
