Global Commercial Director, Global Immunology

AstraZeneca

AstraZeneca seeks a Global Commercial Director to develop and execute commercial strategy for Saphnelo in systemic lupus erythematosus and prepare launches of four additional immunology indications currently in Phase 3 development. The role requires translating global strategy into market-ready plans while leading cross-functional teams across a complex matrix organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and evolve global commercial strategy for in-market SLE indication and mid-term lifecycle opportunities
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, milestones, and deliverables across brand and lifecycle workstreams
  • Lead global launch-readiness activities for potential new immunology indications including planning and cross-functional alignment
  • Partner with regional and country teams to gather market feedback and support implementation of global guidance
  • Manage complex multi-stakeholder projects from planning through delivery, including scope, budget, and risk management

Requirements

  • 3+ years commercializing advanced biologics in SLE or immunology indications within rheumatology/dermatology
  • Significant country-level commercial role with understanding of global-to-local strategy translation
  • Experience with product launches, lifecycle management, brand strategy, and launch-readiness planning
  • Demonstrated ability managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with budgets and external partners
  • Strong commercial strategy expertise including customer insights, positioning, and competitive assessment
  • Matrix organization experience with ability to influence without direct authority and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, science, or related discipline
