This is a highly skilled hourly position requiring a thorough understanding of safe work practices, troubleshooting, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. To learn more about our team and our culture, click here: Mt Jewett-Kane CultureWhat You Will DoPerform mechanical inspections, repair and perform maintenance on all machinery and equipmentTroubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, power transmission and steam systemsUtilize computer systems to input work orders, identify parts, maintain records such as labor hours and PM findings, etc.Replace defective parts with new parts or repairing/reproducing parts using welding, drill press, surface grinder and other machine shop equipmentPerform preventive maintenance on equipment as scheduled or assignedAssist with creating job plans for future reference on repair jobsShare knowledge through training and providing technical assistance to other team membersPerform other related duties and completes projects as assignedAdhere to and promote all safety policies and to include wearing necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Work in high places in excess of 80 feet, using man lifts and working in confined spacesPerforming work that entails lifting up to 50 lbs, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for at least twelve (12) hours a dayWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipmentExperience with preventative maintenanceTwo (2) or more years of experience working in the Industrial Maintenance field OR completion of a mechanical Trade School program and/or Apprenticeship programWhat Will Put You AheadExperience with precision alignment of motors, couplings, bearings, pumps, and lubricationCrane operations experienceRigging experienceExperience troubleshooting conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and pumpsExperience with Machine Tool and DieExperience with fabrication and weldingExperience with reading blueprints and precision measurementsExperience using a computer for record-keeping and documentation functionsHigh school diploma or GED
