Dental Sleep Medicine Supplemental Consultant

Description
The Supplemental Consultant in Dental Sleep Medicine provides specialty evaluation and oral-appliance management for appropriately selected patients with sleep-related breathing disorders. The consultant practices within granted privileges applicable licensure Mayo Clinic policies evidence-based standards and an interdisciplinary model of care. The appointment supplements the departments core staffing and is structured to meet defined clinical access quality education and service objectives.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
D.D.S. or D.M.D. from an accredited institution or an equivalent degree acceptable to the applicable licensing and credentialing authorities.
Current Minnesota dental licensure eligibility for Mayo Clinic appointment credentialing and privileges appropriate to the assigned scope.
Demonstrated training and clinical competence in dental sleep medicine including oral appliance selection delivery titration adverse-effect management and longitudinal dental monitoring.
Current life-support certification and other certifications required for the practice setting.
Evidence of professionalism effective interdisciplinary communication sound clinical judgment and commitment to quality and safety.
Preferred Qualifications
Board certification or recognized advanced credentialing in dental sleep medicine.
Experience in an academic multispecialty or integrated medical-dental practice.
Experience with clinical education quality improvement outcomes tracking or program development.
