Electrician

We are seeking a skilled electrician who is experienced in bending pipe, bending conduit, troubleshooting, wiring, and installing fixtures, as well as reading blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Bend pipes and conduits accurately.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
• Wire and install commercial fixtures, high hats, outlets, and lighting.
• Read and interpret blueprints to execute electrical projects.
• Pull wires and install BX and MC cables.
• Work with EMT, switchgear, and perform conduit installations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in electrical work, including conduit and wiring.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues.
• Retail experience is a must.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• OSHA 30 certification is required.
• Must own personal tools and be able to work independently.
• Ability to follow directions precisely.
• Experience in installing finishing commercial fixtures.

Work Environment

Work at highly regulated commercial job sites, such as Men's Warehouse in Riverhead and Heritage On Main. Ensure OSHA 30 compliance and wear PPE at all times. Maintain a clean workspace in high-profile, mixed-use buildings. Assignments are initially two weeks, with potential for extension based on performance. Use hand tools, cordless drills, and work with open conception ceilings.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Hyde Park, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
